Sustainability

The Division of Public Safety understands the importance of sustainability in today's world. This is why we take great strides in supporting President Gutmann's Climate Action Plan.

Sustainable Penn

Our vehicle fleet has seen a transition from regular gas consuming vehicles to both hybrid and electric vehicles. By doing so, drastic changes in gas consumption, Co2 and Carbon Monoxide emissions have been noticed.

Several vehicles in our fleet are also completely electric. Our Penn Police Vectrix motorcycle along with our T3 electric patrol vehicle operate at approximately 10 cents per day with zero emissions!

Efforts within our offices are no different. By enforcing double sided printing to reduce paper consumption, installing hand dryers in bathrooms and utilizing new bottleless water coolers, we are making impacts in all facets of our operation.
