DPS Open House

Posted On September 22, 2011

On behalf of the women and men of Penn’s Division of Public Safety it is my pleasure to invite you to our annual Open House on October 11, 2011 from 3pm to 6pm at 4040 Chestnut Street.

I look forward to you meeting the members of the Public Safety Team and taking a “behind the scenes” overview of who we are and what we do. You may enjoy taking a turn on the Firearm Training Simulation machine, which is a scenario driven computer that is used to train police officer’s instincts and response to deadly force scenarios. You can tour our PennComm Communication Center, which serves as the command and control center for the entire Public Safety operation, and finally check out our rugged Harley Davidson Police Motorcycles and our sustainable Police electric motorcycle and T-3 electric Security Officer vehicles.

Come see why your Public Safety Team has been recognized for four years in a row as the #1 Public Safety Program in the nation’s Higher Education market by Security 500 Magazine.

Light fare, refreshments and lots of fun will be served.
