New Photo Album: DPS Open House

Posted On October 13, 2011

The Division of Public Safety held its 4th Annual Open House on October 11, 2011.

Penn community members had the opportunity to meet the Public Safety Team and who took them on a “behind the scenes” overview of who DPS is and what we do. They took turns on the Firearm Training Simulation machine, which is a scenario driven computer that is used to train police officer’s instincts and response to deadly force scenarios. Members also toured the PennComm Communication Center, which serves as the command and control center for the entire Public Safety operation, and checked out our rugged Harley Davidson Police Motorcycles and sustainable Police electric motorcycle and T-3 electric Security Officer vehicles.
