Registering for Penn Guardian
In order to use the Penn Guardian service, individuals must enroll by registering their cell phone, and creating a personal profile and four-digit PIN on the Penn Guardian portal.
Registering is quick and easy. Once you register, create your PIN and add your profile information, you only need to log back into the Penn Guardian portal to update your information should your number, address or any other information about you change.

Registering is Easy as 1-2-3
Log in with your PennKey at: www.publicsafety.upenn.edu/getpennguardian.
Step 1. Register Your Mobile Device
You must register a phone number to use the Penn Guardian Service. Once you enter your phone number you will be asked to enter a confirmation code that will be sent to the phone number you provided via text message.
Step 2. Create PIN and Agree to Terms & Conditions
You will notice a light red box asking you to complete your Basic Guardian Profile. Click on the button and you will be able to add your photo, create a PIN number and agree to the terms and conditions. You must agree to the terms and conditions before you are fully registered for the system.
Step 3. Add any additional information to your profile.
You can now also update other information including your address, schedules, vehicle information, etc. Remember, all information is completely optional and is kept private and secure.
That's it! Now that your registered, anytime you contact Public Safety by dialing 215-573-3333, PennComm dispatchers will be able to obtain accurate information about you and where you may should you need urgent assistance.

The information you choose to include in the Penn Guardian profile is kept completely confidential. PennComm or any entity at the University can not locate using your phone's GPS service any other time. PennComm dispatchers only see this information when you call 215-573-3333 and can not be viewed at any other time.
