200 PAL Youngsters Enjoy an Evening of Ice Skating at the Penn Ice Rink
The Police Athletic League of Philadelphia (Philly PAL) took part in one last night of winter fun. Nearly 200 youngsters skated at the Penn Ice Rink in the historic Class of 1923 Arena.
Children enjoyed skating with friends and fellow PAL members, all courtesy of the University of Pennsylvania’s Business Services Division, University of Pennsylvania’s Division of Public Safety and Coca-Cola.
Youngsters were provided with a safe and fun evening through which they received hours of ice-time, skates, pizza, soft drinks and more – at no cost. Each of PAL’s centers from across the City participated in this event, and the Lower Merion High School Ice Hockey Team volunteered their time to help teach youth how to skate.
Great fun was had by all!
