Commendations and Kudos

Our team practices a strong community-based mission.

We’d like to share some of the feedback our personnel receive as we support the community.

Summer 2021

“Our officers were responding to a call for service at the 40th Street SEPTA station when an officer observed a male collapse and fall from the platform onto the tracks. The officers pulled him from the tracks and began CPR. Philadelphia Fire Department paramedics arrived and the patient was transported to the hospital. Very nice job by our officers being in the right place at the right time.” – Deputy Chief Fink

“I just wanted to reach out to let you know that the officer that was onsite this past weekend to assist with traffic on Osler Circle did an excellent job…he was out of his car assisting with vehicular traffic the entire time and kept everything moving smoothly out there. Please pass the word along to him and let him know his support was greatly appreciated.” – Construction Project Manager

“Writing to express my sincere gratitude for your services. My car would not start…I requested assistance to jump start it and in no time a Penn Security Officer showed up to assist me. He was so kind and so helpful, and I am so grateful to him and to the Penn’s Division of Public Safety for your services to us the Penn community.”

“I want to compliment the service of a most helpful police officer to me (a patient of [HUP]) in getting to a sleep study appointment.…This terrific officer led me to…a parking location. He was most courteous and went out of his way to see that I parked safely… This young man is a great example of police positivity for the university and the city of Phila. There needs to be more folks in public service like him.”
