DPS Security Symposium

 

On Monday, May 21, 2012 at Houston Hall’s Hall of Flags, the Division of Public Safety in collaboration with its security partners, held its 4th Annual Security Symposium.  This exposition and presentation afforded DPS an opportunity to speak directly to University staff, faculty and third party vendors about current initiatives and provided a chance to view and analyze the latest state-of-the-art security technology. 
This event was an opportunity to highlight the broad range of safety services that DPS provides. The attendees spoke directly with the executive administrators of the Division of Public Safety, learning about our most current initiatives.

Vice President Rush presented on the Operation Building Safe Initiative, Chief of Fire and Emergency Services Gene Janda spoke of the importance of partnering with DPS to continually update the Blue Books and Eric Kay from ASSA ABLOY gave an overview of electronic locking solutions.
