Louis Petrecco joined the Division of Public Safety in June 2018. Louis serves as the Director of Security Services where he oversees the contract security administration and management of security officer operations across the University.
Louis has over 15 years of experience in the security industry with a majority of that time focusing on higher education security. Previously Louis has spent time working for Penn State University Police department overseeing the auxiliary Security and Traffic unit and spent nearly 10 years with Allied Universal Security before leaving to run cultural property security operations for Princeton University. During his time with Allied Universal, Louis spent 4 years on Penn’s campus in various leadership positions including Bike Patrol Captain, Operations Manager and District Area Manager where he oversaw half of the contract security operations. During his final years with Allied Universal, Louis served as the National Director of Learning and Development.
Louis holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Development and Leadership from Saint Joseph’s University and a Bachelor’s degree in Crime, Law and Justice from the Pennsylvania State University.
In his time away from the office Louis enjoys relaxing with his wife, Colette, daughter, Ella and dog, Jake. Louis is also a volunteer firefighter for a local fire company in the Lower Bucks County area.
