Kostas Giannopoulos joined the Division of Public Safety in February 2017 as the Director of Finance and Administration.
Kostas joined Public Safety from Penn Dental Medicine, where he served as Director of Clinical Operations, reporting to the Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs, and working with all Practice Administrators in creating standardized procedures and best practices for all Penn Dental Clinical Departments. During his time at Penn Dental, he served in various roles, overseeing the budget of one of the largest departments in the Dental School. Kostas also managed a large staff, supervising all human resources responsibilities, developing and implementing a new inventory system, as well as other major projects for the school. He has extensive knowledge and experience with the Penn Financial systems and budgeting process.
Prior to his time at Penn, Kostas founded and operated his own automobile part import business in Athens, Greece.
The role of Finance and Administration (F&A) is to oversee all financial and human resource aspects of the Division of Public Safety.
