The Vice President is the chief liaison officer for city, state, and federal public safety agencies and collaborates daily with these agencies in an effort to ensure the highest level of safety and security for the University community.
Under the leadership of Vice President Maureen S. Rush, the Office of the Vice President, along with the Division’s 6 directors, facilitate the strategic and operational mission of the Division of Public Safety.
The Office of the Vice President (VPO) manages all media and community communication in conjunction with Penn’s Office of University Communications. The team executes the strategic planning and day-to-day operations of the Office of the Vice President. The VPO coordinates the collaboration of University-wide participants to produce the Annual Security & Fire Safety Report (Clery Report). The office also designs, brands and distributes all safety and security collateral.
