A Day of Fire Safety: 9 Fires Documentary Debut and College House Evacuation Drills
On October 18, 2012, the Division of Public Safety hosted a showing of the short-form documentary film “9 Fires”. The film was followed by a discussion panel on fire safety, moderated by Vice President for Public Safety Maureen S. Rush. The panel participants were Gail Minger, President, The Minger Foundation, Ed Comeau, Publisher, Campus Firewatch, Gene Janda, Chief of Fire and Emergency Services, Division of Public Safety, and Philadelphia Fire Commisssioner Lloyd Ayers. Later that evening, five college houses participated in a city-wide residence evacuation drill.
