DPS Welcomes the Class of 2021 During NSO!
One Thursday, August 24th, the Division of Public Safety welcomed the Class of 2021 during NSO with the Safe Living presentation. DPS personnel and student leaders presented to all incoming freshman to review topics related to safety and security, such as unattended theft, fire safety, interpersonal violence, support resources, and much more. After learning about the many resources DPS provides, including a free walking escort service, the Penn Guardian app, and the UPennAlert, students were introduced to K9 Officer Socks and her partner, Police Officer Julie Wesley. We were also joined by a special guest from the Penn Vet Working Dog Center-puppy Elvis!
The presenters also took the opportunity to take a selfie with the incoming class!
