Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Members of Public Safety paid respect to Dr. King’s legacy by engaging in MLK Day of Service activities.

DPS Donation Drive: DPS volunteers packed individual donation bags and filled boxes with useful items donated by Public Safety personnel to support the Outley House Men’s Shelter located in West Philadelphia. Over 50 bags of individual use supplies were filled, as well as donations of cold weather comfort items.

DPS personnel participated in the University’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service volunteer events at Houston Hall. DPS volunteers included VP Kathleen Anderson and Chief Gary Williams. K9 Officer Uman made a guest appearance with her partner Officer Wesley.

Sergeant Gonzalez and Officer Harding participated in a neighborhood cleaning event with other volunteers. The officers were glad to have helped and had a great time meeting new friends.
