Penn Police Department receives recognition from the Department of Homeland Security for investigation assistance

The Penn Police Department was recently recognized for assisting the Department of Homeland Security Investigations in identifying and locating an international fugitive. Working with federal agents, Penn Police interviewed a witness who provided federal agents with key information that led to the swift apprehension of Vincent Didler Jean-Marie Gilbert Simonon, who was wanted in Belgium for manslaughter. Vice President Maureen Rush and the assigned detectives were honored by officials from Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and Belgium on September 29, 2017.
