UPPD Officers Receive “Philadelphia Outstanding Police Performance” Award

Two University of Pennsylvania police officers were awarded the Philadelphia Outstanding Police Performance Award at the 34th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day Luncheon, held by the Citizen’s Crime Commission to honor area first responders. Officers Charles Ritterson and Steve Thammavong received their awards from the Commission, for actions described as “Following your instincts while in the performance of your undercover duties you averted what could have been a tragic situation.”

Congratulations to all of the award winners, thank you for your dedication and expertise in protecting our community.
