Penn Police received a report of a person with a gun in the 4200 block of Ludlow Street. Upon investigation, it was found that a suspect had fired several shots into the air at this location. The suspect was described as a Black male, medium complexion, 5’10”-6’ tall, wearing a blue-green shirt. There are no reported injuries. Police and security are patrolling the area.

Update: All clear in the area of 3400 Market Street. You may resume usual activity. UPennAlert: Assault in the 3400 block of Market Street. Increased police activity in the area. Police on scene, use caution, avoid the immediate area.

Penn Police received a report of a robbery without weapon which occurred in the 4000 block of Baltimore Avenue. The suspect was described as a Black female approximately 40-45 years of age, 5'4" to 5'7" in height, wearing a blue short sleeve shirt and red sweat pants. The suspect was last seen heading westbound on Woodland Walk. There were no reported physical injuries.

UPDATE: All clear in the area of 4000 Market St. Police have responded to the incident and the area has been deemed safe. The suspects are described as 2 Black males, one with light complexion, wearing all black, with a tattoo on his forehead, the other with dark complexion, gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and a black handgun. The suspects were last seen heading north on 40th Street towards Powelton Avenue.
