9 Fires Documentary Premieres at Penn

 

the founders of the non-profit Michael H. Minger Foundation, which works diligently to promote campus fire safety awareness, with a viewing of the short-form documentary film 9 Fires. The viewing will be followed by a discussion of our integrated approach to fire safety for on and off-campus dwellings. The NEW TIME AND LOCATION for this meeting will be 11am-1pm at the Terrace Room, Claudia Cohen Hall, 249 South 36th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104. Parking will be allocated for attendees on the south side of Walnut Street between 34th and 36th Streets. 
9 Fires is a documentary, produced by the Minger Foundation (www.mingerfoundation.org), that highlights the impact of a series of 9 campus-related fires.  These fires include a tragic off-campus fire that claimed three lives at Marist College, a fraternity fire at Hampden-Sydney College that seriously injured a student, off-campus fires in Boston and Brookline that seriously injured more students, a laboratory fire that shut down an entire campus for a full week, and more.
