Email Scam Warning
Dear Penn Community,
We recently became aware of a “sextortion” scam email being sent to members of our community purporting to have access to users’ email accounts. This type of email scam is unfortunately becoming more common. This email references Penn and uses your email address and name in an attempt to appear legitimate. These types of emails purposefully use urgency like a payment deadline to trick you into responding. At this time, Penn is not aware of any unauthorized acquisition or access to Penn email account credentials.
